 Ensure compliance of various types of procurement (International / local) i.e. World Bank and African Development Bank procurement procedures.  Establish and develop Procurement strategy and principles and control on procurement limits.  Organize Training on procurement guidelines for both internal and external contractors on World Bank and Africa Development Bank.  Follow up major procurements, particularly international, in compliance with AFDB and World Bank.  Prepare Procurement Plans.  Prepare and submit bids.  Evaluate bids, process technical clarifications on behalf of the evaluation committee and finalize bids. Provide secretarial assistance during the bid opening.  Lead negotiation of procurement contracts.  Support 34 African countries in the procurement of Equipment.  Monitor performance and coordination with the relevant staff at the FARA Secretariat and Sub-Regional Organization (SRO) and National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS).  Maintain auditable procurement and contract documentation in compliance with AFDB and World Bank procurement policies and procedures.  Perform other administrative and operational duties from time to time.

Facility Management - Recruitment of firm to undertake cleaning and canteen services.  General Service: Maintenance of offices, laboratories and staff bungalows.  Maintain auditable procurement and contracting documentation in Compliance with the Public Procurement Act 2003 (Act. 663).
